The gudulka players were very into it! Bette, taking her turn on the mic with the Brass Band and Romani Singing class ensemble. A better picture of Bette. They were all having a great time performing. You had to be there for this picture to mean much to you. Niki, the tambura class teacher, is on lead guitar. Ok. Some description. Ivan is starting to get into it. Extrodinary singing happened at those blue mics.

Still pictures give you a sense of the surroundings and a record of some of the people who were there.  There were so many wonderful moments.  Getting to know the instructors.  Getting to that level in the class studies, where suddenly it all changes and you are on a new level that you didn't know existed.  The final performance where it all comes together - or comes undone (and you know you'll nail it next year).  The dash for the strawberries dipped in chocolate, and all that's left are the fumes.  The dash for desert between sets (didn't want to miss a thing), and you score a brownie.  To shut out the rest of the world and be present in the moment - a wonderful thing.  Through words, music and pictures, we distribute what we learned about ourselves and others.
